Unlike many it was not a shocker that I had developed Diabetes, there had been signs that things where not right that my GP had over looked or said not to worry about, plus the history of it within the family was another reason that it wasn’t such a shocker. I was more angry that they hadn’t caught it in time to maybe delay or prevent it from developing, but since its here I had to make the best of it as possible since it was going to be with me for life (at least that is how it works for most people who are diabetic at any rate – till a cure if found).
