Sweet n Sour Sauce

Ingredients
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup ketchup
2/3 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon gluten free soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon hot sauce
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, undrained

Tips
Can be used as a dipping sauce or to pour over your items (for a lower calorie/sodium its recommended that you use as a dipping sauce).

Directions
1 – Stir water, sugar, ketchup, pineapple, vinegar, gluten free soy sauce, and hot sauce together in a saucepan over medium heat.

2 – Remove 1/2 cup of the sauce to a small bowl; whisk cornstarch into the sauce in the bowl.

3 – Bring the sauce in the saucepan to a boil, stir the sauce with the cornstarch into the boiling sauce.

4 – Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 15 minutes.

5 – Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using.
