The Beach Rib-Fest at Woodbine Park – June 18th to 20th 2010

Its that time once again, time for The Beach Rib-Fest at Woodbine Park, here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada over the Father’s Day Weekend.

The event runs from June 18th to 20th, June 18th from 3pm to 10pm, June 19th from 11am to 9pm and June 20th from 11am till 8pm.

Once again there will be some of the best barbecue chefs from around Ontario who will be grilling up those ribs, delivering up some tasty pulled pork sandwiches, and much more during this weekends event. There will also be much entertainment for all who come to enjoy.

One of the side lines that you will be able to see while at the Rib-Fest is the annual Crazy Canuck BBQ Championships, where Professional BBQ teams from around the globe will compete for the best Ribs, CHicken, Open Port and Brisket at the Canadian Open BBQ Championships – all will be viewing for 30,000 cash prizes with an automatic entry into the Jack Daniel’s BBQ Invitational (in October 2010, Lynchburg, TN).

One of the Rib-fest sponsors is also having their 2nd Annual Firefighters Command Cook Off, this is a chance to see the Toronto Fire Fighters Association in partnership with the Beach Rib-fest have their cook off on Saturday June 19th, Fire fighters from the North, South, East and West commands will compete against each other for the best rib recipe and of course the all important bragging rights that goes along with that recipe.

Other event’s that you will be able to see are the Father’s Day Cook Off, Napoleon Gourmet Grills will be presenting the 6th Annual Father’s Day Cook Off which will be hosted by Chef Ted Reader on Friday, June 18th 2010. Five competitors, father-son and father-daughter teams, will be flown in from across Canada to compete in this unique competition, if you would like to get into this event yourself the Metro newspaper Sun will be running the contest starting June 1st, or you can get more information from the Toronto Sun.

There is also the first annual Amateur BBQ Rib Competition where al you Backyard BBQers can cook it off to compete for the best rib recipe – this even is open to twenty-five teams of two who will vie for trophies and a Grand Champion BBQ prize.
