Well I am not sure about everyone else, but Jericho is one show which I am following to a degree, but am still not 100% sure if I like or not.
For those who are not following it as yet, here’s a synopses of the show … “JERICHO is a drama about what happens when a nuclear mushroom cloud suddenly appears on the horizon, plunging the residents of a small, peaceful Kansas town into chaos, leaving them completely isolated and wondering if they’re the only Americans left alive. Fear of the unknown propels Jericho into social, psychological and physical mayhem when all communication and power is shut down. The town starts to come apart at the seams as terror, anger and confusion bring out the very worst in some residents. Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich), prodigal son of the town’s mayor, becomes a reluctant hero when a school bus crashes as a result of the explosion. Mayor Johnston Green (Gerald McRaney) is conflicted with the return of his estranged son, but is called to action when the town begins to riot. Johnston’s wife, Gail (Pamela Reed), is the strong, savvy first lady of the town who runs interference between her husband and her favorite son. Attempting to usurp the mayor’s power is Johnston’s political adversary, Gray Anderson (Michael Gaston), who is not above putting his personal agenda before the welfare of the very community he wants to lead.
Well that synopses really doesn’t say much about the show, but hay its what the site has to offer in regards to the show. I’ve watched all three eps which have been shown so far (even managed to find two of the eps on YouTube as previews they are as follows….
Preview of Season 1 Ep 2 (06:46 min running time)
Not bad previews as previews go, K they are not official from the site, but hay the site versions I’ve not been able to watch for some reason, they should work but they do not appear to be working for me for some reason that I do not fully understand.
When it comes to each of the eps, the first took me three times to get though and get a good idea about … the Pilot’s synopses is as follows “After mushroom clouds appear on the horizon, fear of the unknown propels Jericho into social, psychological and physical mayhem when all communication and power is shut down. The town starts to come apart at the seams as terror, anger and confusion bring out the very worst in some residents. Jake Green, the prodigal son of the town’s mayor, becomes a reluctant hero when a school bus crashes as a result of the explosion.”
The second ep entitled Fallout I only got to see once, and well I know I missed a world of a lot cause I really didn’t follow the ep very well … the second eps synopses is as follows “With only an hour before the fallout from the nuclear blast in Denver hits Jericho, Jake rushes to get the townspeople inside and away from the rain so that they won’t get radiation poisoning. When Jake and the others find that the official shelter is in disrepair and unusable, they have to come up with other protection fast. Meanwhile, Emily and Bonnie are held hostage by two men posing as police officers.”
The Third Ep entitled Four Horsemen was an interesting show, but again I’m still not getting into the show yet, and its at its their airing .. the synopses of the third ep is as follows “Jake organizes a group to gather more information about the explosions after a satellite television in the local bar broadcasts an Asian news program showing the extent of the nuclear attacks. In addition to the television broadcast, Stanley, who is hospitalized for radiation poisoning, claims to have seen tanks headed toward Denver. With Jericho still cut off from communication and the people craving information, Jake recommends sending out four search parties in different directions to get a sense of what is going on outside of town. Meanwhile, when one of the inhabitants dies unexpectedly, Heather questions the cause of his death.”
Well I’ve come this far watching it so far it likely means that I’ll continue to watch it till the end of the season less something else comes along and catches my attention more then it does, which is possible its happened before.
Well take care everyone
