Well don’t know about everyone else, but I was just looking at various cans of pop that we have around the house and its kind of interesting to see what each of them has for calories, and for sugars.
PC Cola has 160 Cal, 43 g of sugar, 43 g of carbohydrates and 20 mg sodium for a 355mL can
Classic Coca-Cola has 150 Cal, 40 mg sodium, 42 g carbohydrates, 42 g sugar per 355mL can
Pepsi has 150 Cal, 15 sodium, 41 g carbohydrates, 41 g sugar per 355mL can
Canada Dry Ginger Ale has 140 Cal, 50 mg Sodium, 35 carbohydrates and 34 g sugar per 355 mL can..
Dr. Pepper has 140 Cal, 38 g of carbohydrates, 55 sodium, and 38 g of sugars per 355mL can.
Schweppes has 130 Cal, 45 sodium, 34 g carbohydrates, 32 sugar per 355 mL can.
It is interesting to note that Pepsi came out with the lowest amount of sodium of the 6 I looked at, and that sodium wise Dr. Pepper has the highest next to Canada Dry. When it comes to sugar again Schweppes is the lowest though not by much.
Well it just goes to show that not all pops are created equal in their nutritional values and that knowing what each value is in general can help you make a choice in which regular pop you might choose to drink.
Well take care everyone,
