Well it looks like its happening despite locals not being pleased with it, it does appear according to the Toronto Star in an article entitled “Airport flight takes off” that Porter Airlines will be flying out of the Toronto Island Airport shortly with an allowance of 10 flights a day, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
I am actually 100% in agreement that I DO NOT want the Island Airport used more then it currently is used, those flights already as it is fly over my area of the city and I don’t like it now when they go over, but I accept that they do because they have been going over before I was born, but adding more then is already there, that I can fully object to since it was NOT in the original plans for the airport that I am aware of some 20+ years ago … the claim that the new plains are more quit is bull crap I’ve heard them they are no more quite then the flights that currently go over head.
