Well as much as I have been doing as the site i joineed recomends and my own deal that I always do daily because i for the most part have little choice in the matter (as have to walk the dog, so no use getting miffed about doing so).
In the past 10 days I have not lose the weight as I had hopped, but put 5 pounds on which means I’m back up at 280 pounds – sighs not where I was hopping to be near the end of the month (though there is still the rest of the week to come back down).
I know part of the gain is do to the fact that I’ve not been able to take the metformin and the supplements because I can’t afford to buy them till the start of next month – it sucks but its part of life unfortunatly.
Its really a drag at times the PCOS combined with a freaking food allergiy that means a hell of a lot of foods are on the shouldn’t eat list – the Porph can be more trouble then eight the PCOS or Diabeties combiined it does feel (then again those who are not likely to kill me as the Porph will).
For the most part I have to Avoid Liver from wild game or poultry, Leeks, Avoid pickled herring and other types of pickled foods, strong spices including MSG, Garlic, Rye or food products that contain Rye, Grilled or Barbequed Foods, Smoked Oysters, Cured & Smoked Meats, Cured & Smoked Fish, Cabbage and Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts & Onions, Red plums, Red grapes, Red/purple grape juice, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, Kale, Kohlrabi, Mustard, Rutabaga, Turnips, Egg Yokes, Dried fruit, Lemon & Lime juice, Molasses, Soy, Chocolate, Sauerkraut, Fresh shrimp, Grape juice, Eggs (contain sulfur), and Meats from animals that have been given steroids or antibiotics.
I might have to avoid them for the most part, but in small deals I do have them, but just not every day type deal – it really sucks that I am not supose to have any of the mentioned foods since a good portion of them I enjoy eating – but thanks to the Porph i have to watch those foods and not eat them in the amounts that most ppl can eat them. Oh well its something I have to get use to because the Porph isn’t going anywhere its with me for the rest of my life so I have to learn to live with it as best as I am able.
The following is an except from the doc in regards to my type of Porph…
